About Wilderness Journeys

Wilderness Journeys is the creation of a small team of dedicated adventurers, committed to the principles of sustainable tourism and driven by a passion to share with others the earth's remaining wild places and thereby help ensure they are protected.

Adventure travel was exciting when we set up - that's what attracted us - and that's how it should be. However, watching crowds gather on popular trips such as Everest Base Camp and the Inca Trail made us determined to stick to our principles of offering amazing trips in true wilderness regions, and not simply roll out the standard fare. So our trips won't appeal to everyone - but if you like adventure, you're in the right place!

Our journeys are first and foremost fantastic holidays. They are designed to be inspirational and fun. We do our utmost to ensure that every detail is taken care of and we have devoted many years to creating a range of imaginative and unforgettable adventures. The countries which we feature are truly diverse offering a range of experiences among the world's most dramatic scenery, from walking safaris on the plains of Kenya to trekking in Patagonia's most remote corners, from sea kayaking in Sardinia to cultural trekking in Bhutan.
