Sea Kayaking Sardinia - The Bay of Orosei

ITINERARY

Introduction

Sea kayaking in Sardinia, an Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea, makes for a wonderful sea kayaking holiday.

During this week of sea kayaking in Sardinia, you will head out into the wilderness in single kayaks to explore the many caves and little sandy coves that line this stretch of coast. The many highlights of sea kayaking in Sardinia include visiting the coves of Marioulu, the rocky pinnacle of Goloritze and the stunning beaches.

After paddling for 5-6 hours a day, there is plenty of time to relax on the beaches, enjoy some snorkelling, explore the spectacular canyons or simply sit back and relax with a cool drink watching the sun set over the Mediterranean. There is nothing better than ending a day with a succulent meal prepared by our guides, savouring the delights of fresh Sardinian produce, whilst reminiscing on the day's events.

Your Guides

In 2013 you will be guided by Carol Lang on our May departure and Mark Cox in September, Both Carol and Mark are Wilderness Journeys core team sea kayaking guides who hold a UK sea kayaking qualification, so you can travel safe in the knowledge that you will be looked after by a professionally qualified UK sea kayak guide.

Working alongside Carol and Mark, we'll have a local sea kayaking guide, also suitably qualified, which means that we'll have local knowledge and insights into Sardinian life, food and culture as we explore the coastlines of Sardinia by sea kayak.

Carol and Mark are always looking to share their knowledge and experience with the groups that they guide and are very much looking forward to paddling in warmer climes than their home country, Scotland.

Your Verdict

We are proud of the trip we offer, but nothing gives greater credit to our trips than feedback of a happy client.  Here is what isobel Pennington had to say after her trip to Sardinia in Spring 2012:

" Fabulous Trip.  Weather was amazing, guides were very sound and knowledgeable, organisation was faultless.  Big thumbs up and a big grin :-) "
