I was fortunate enough to be at a special event in Edinburgh last night, screening Yann Arthus-Bertrand's movie 'Home'. Yann is probably best known for his photo exhibition and books 'The Earth from the Air' and this movie takes that theme a little further, exploring the environmental issues behind his incredible images.

Ecotourism in Bolivia

Having just returned from a recent research trip to the high Andes, I am looking forward to the various wilderness adventures scheduled for 2008. The main purpose of my visit was to look at the scope for greater integration between adventure / ecotourism in South America and nature conservation efforts in many of the fragile and threatened ecosystems of the Andes.
