Having just returned from a recent research trip to the high Andes, I am looking forward to the various wilderness adventures scheduled for 2008. The main purpose of my visit was to look at the scope for greater integration between adventure / ecotourism in South America and nature conservation efforts in many of the fragile and threatened ecosystems of the Andes.

Extreme Dreaming in Venezuela

Following on from our work on the Haute Route film project, we were asked to provide the logistics for an episode of 'Extreme Dreams', a TV series which runs on BBC2 and is presented by Ben Fogle. After designing a challenging itinerary for the programme, I was lucky enough to be tasked with going to Venezuela with the cast and crew to oversee the project.
